Reflections on Politics and the World Today with Vince Cable
Legendary
journalist, John Sweeney, has had a long and sometimes controversial career
working for the BBC, the Observer newspaper, LBC and currently the Byline
Times and Byline TV. He’s also written several books, both fiction
and non-fiction. At the BBC he worked for long stints on both Panorama
and Newsnight, during which he was often in ‘hot water’ and real personal
danger. Amongst a host of other actions, he’s investigated Scientology; exposed
‘cot death syndrome’ wherein three mothers were wrongfully imprisoned for
killing their own children; confronted extreme right wing activist Tommy
Robinson. Perhaps most pertinent to the current world situation, he’s personally
questioned Putin and uncovered Russian corruption, interference in elections
and war crimes in Ukraine. He’s explored links between Trump associates and
Russian officials and spies.
Come
and hear all about it from the man himself... and don’t be afraid to ask a
question!
